GODSMACK Release Statement Regarding European Tour Cancellation
July 2, 2003GODSMACK have released the following statement regarding the cancellation of their European tour, originally scheduled to kick off on July 13 in Manchester, England: "GODSMACK had several projects with contractual deadlines that couldn't be moved, so they were unable to keep the U.K. dates. Future tour dates are going to be considered."
When asked if the above statement means that GODSMACK will in fact go ahead with some of their other previously scheduled non-U.K. European shows, the group's publicist told BLABBERMOUTH.NET, "That means all European dates [are off] for now. The only non-U.S. thing that is still on is Fuji Rock fest in Japan" on Saturday, July 26.
In addition to their headlining dates in July, GODSMACK were previously set to support OZZY OSBOURNE and H.I.M. on a European tour beginning September 4 in London, England. A replacement act for that trek has yet to be announced.
